Bali

Bali has a much wider choice of international schools than its size suggests, driven by long-stay expat families, remote workers and Indonesian families looking for an English-medium education. Most schools cluster in the south: Canggu, Berawa, Umalas and Kerobokan in the west, Sanur and Denpasar in the east, and Jimbaran and Uluwatu on the Bukit, with a strong group around Ubud and a few further afield in Tabanan and Amed. The range runs from IB and Cambridge schools taking students to the IB Diploma or A Levels, through Australian, British, French and American-curriculum schools, to Montessori, Waldorf and nature-based schools such as Green School. Many are small, with classes of 15 to 24, and a number are SPK schools that combine an international curriculum with Indonesian national subjects.
