Alam Kidz was founded in 2016 by three educators in Ketewel, Sukawati, on the coast road between Sanur and Ubud. It began as a nature-based early-years school with its own holistic 'signature curriculum' and has grown into a primary school, run across two nearby wooden campuses: one for toddlers, nursery and kindergarten, and one for primary.
In February 2026 Alam Kidz was authorised as an IB World School for the Primary Years Programme, which now shapes its inquiry-based teaching for children from about age six. Lessons are in English and Indonesian, with an emphasis on the environment, enterprise and links with the local community. The primary campus has a swimming pool, a mini football pitch, music and ICT rooms and a traditional Balinese wantilan pavilion. Primary classes are capped at 15 children, and the primary section is still small.
The school day runs 8:30am to 3pm, and paid extracurriculars include coding, swimming and taekwondo. Car transport is available from set pick-up points. Contact the school for current fees.
