North Singapore

Northern Singapore — Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang and the green belt around Mandai and the Central Catchment — is where several of the island's largest international school campuses have room to spread out. Land is less constrained than in the city centre, so schools here tend to have extensive playing fields, swimming pools and purpose-built performing arts and science facilities. Families who choose the north often look at condominiums and landed homes in Woodlands, Yishun, Sembawang and the quieter estates along Upper Thomson, with the Thomson–East Coast MRT line now linking Woodlands to the city. School bus networks from the large northern campuses also reach well into central and eastern Singapore, so many pupils commute from further afield. Schools in this area span American, IB, British and faith-informed programmes, from early years through to high school graduation.
