XCL World Academy opened in 2014 as GEMS World Academy (Singapore) and took its current name after XCL Education acquired it. The 5-hectare campus is in a residential part of Yishun in northern Singapore. It has a newer building for early years and primary, an innovation hub with fabrication, media and esports spaces, a heated indoor pool, a running track and performing arts venues.
Students can start in Nursery at 18 months. The school runs the full IB continuum: the Primary Years Programme in Grades 1–5, the Middle Years Programme in Grades 6–10 and the IB Diploma in Grades 11–12. A high school diploma with Advanced Placement courses is offered as an alternative route. From Pre-K to Grade 5 there is also an English–Mandarin bilingual stream, and a Foundation English Programme is available for students still learning English.
The school has about 1,000 students from more than 50 nationalities. For students joining from August 2026, 2026/27 tuition (including GST) runs from S$27,580 in Nursery to S$49,810 in Grades 11–12. Grade 6 costs S$45,750 and Grade 8 costs S$48,290. All families also pay a S$3,000 annual development fee, plus a S$6,355 enrolment fee on entry.
