QSI International School of Phuket (QSIP)

Unclaimed
A small, not-for-profit American school in Kathu, Phuket, run by Quality Schools International since 2000, offering a mastery-learning curriculum with AP courses from preschool to Grade 12.
QSI International School of Phuket (QSIP)

QSI International School of Phuket (QSIP) is part of Quality Schools International, a not-for-profit network of more than 30 American schools worldwide. QSI took over the former Phuket International Nursery School in 2000, and the school says it became Phuket's first preschool-to-Grade 12 international school. Its hillside campus in Kathu, known locally as "the school in the jungle", has around 130 students from some 25 nationalities.

QSIP teaches an American college-preparatory curriculum built on QSI's mastery-learning model, in which students work towards defined outcomes and are graded A or B on mastery. Secondary students can take Advanced Placement courses on site and further AP subjects online through Quality Virtual School, and the SAT is offered on campus. Classes are small, usually under 15 students, Thai is taught as a language, and intensive English support is included at no extra cost.

The school is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA-CESS), first in 2005, and licensed by Thailand's Office of the Private Education Commission. The campus has 15 classrooms, a library, science and computer rooms, an artificial-turf field, running track and basketball court. It is a day school; contact the admissions office for current fees.
