Lanna International School Thailand, usually known simply as LANNA, was established in 1993 and describes itself as the first British international school in Chiang Mai. It has grown from 30 children to nearly 1,000 students and now occupies a purpose-built campus in Baan Waen, Hang Dong, just outside the city to the south-west.
The school follows a Cambridge curriculum from Early Years and Primary through to Year 13. Secondary students choose from a wide range of IGCSE subjects before moving on to A Levels, and LANNA highlights university destinations among the world's top 100. English language support, learning support and a summer school are offered alongside the main programme, and the school runs a scholarship scheme.
Life beyond the classroom includes STEAM and robotics, the arts and drama, sport, community service, the International Award and an Army Cadets programme. LANNA suits families in Chiang Mai who want a British-style education with a clear IGCSE and A Level pathway. Contact the admissions team for current fees.
