Chiang Mai International School (CMIS)

Chiang Mai International School (CMIS) traces its history to 1 June 1954, when missionaries opened a small school for their children with just eight students. It took the name Chiang Mai International School in 1985, added high school grades between 1992 and 1995, and today enrols more than 500 students from over 30 countries, from preschool through to Grade 12.

CMIS provides an English-language, American-sourced education taught from an international perspective, with Advanced Placement courses in high school. The school has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 1987, is a member of EARCOS, ISAT and NAIS, and keeps its Christian heritage while welcoming families of all faiths and backgrounds.

The campus is on Chetupon Road, just east of the Ping River and close to the city centre, which makes it convenient for families living in central Chiang Mai. Contact the school directly for current fees and admissions.
