Raffles American School Bangkok opened in 2017 and is part of Raffles Education, which runs colleges and schools across Asia and Europe, including Raffles American School in Iskandar, Malaysia. The campus is on the Bang Na–Trat frontage road at Bang Kaeo in Bang Phli district, Samut Prakan, just outside the Bangkok city boundary and convenient for families in Bang Na and around Suvarnabhumi.
The school takes children from Nursery (age 2) to Grade 12, split into Early Years, Elementary (K3 to Grade 4), Middle School (Grades 5 to 8) and High School (Grades 9 to 12). Teaching follows an American curriculum built around general learning outcomes, and students sit MAP tests from K3 to Grade 10 and the PSAT in Grades 9 and 10. In Grades 11 and 12, the IB Diploma Programme is now the main pathway, with one or two AP courses still available. RAS received full WASC accreditation in 2021 and completed its mid-cycle review in 2024.
Facilities include a newly built teaching block, a shaded 25 m by 18 m pool with a lifeguard, a sports field and playgrounds, a library, a science lab, a music room and a PE room. The school runs football, volleyball and swimming academies. Annual tuition for 2026/27 is THB 220,000 for Nursery, THB 260,000 to 285,000 for K1 to K3, THB 310,000 for Grades 1 to 4 and THB 330,000 for Grades 5 to 12.
