Holland International School, known until recently as the Hollandse School (HSL), traces its history to 1920, when Dutch companies founded a primary school for expatriate families. It has since moved from the Holland Club to Orange Grove Road and then to its current green campus on Bukit Tinggi Road, off Dunearn Road. The site has a separate preschool building, a running track and artificial-turf field, a library, a gym hall used for assemblies, and art and music rooms.
The school runs two parallel streams. The Dutch Stream (Groups 1–8) follows the Dutch national curriculum and is taught in Dutch. The English Stream (Reception to Year 6) follows the English National Curriculum taught in English. Both use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for thematic subjects, and the school holds IPC and IEYC recognition. A preschool takes children from 18 months.
It is a small, non-profit school governed by a board that includes its founding corporate members, and all parents are members of the school company. About 45 teachers work with classes of up to 25 pupils. Many families are Dutch or Belgian, but the English Stream enrols a wide range of nationalities. Co-curricular activities include sport, arts, coding and languages. For 2026–27, primary tuition is about S$30,500 a year in both the Dutch and English streams, plus one-off registration fees for new pupils.
