Chatsworth International School was founded in 1995 by a British principal and teachers, starting in Upper Serangoon and later running campuses at Emerald Hill (Orchard) and in the East. Since 2018 it has been based on a single campus on Bukit Tinggi Road near the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The Orchard primary campus moved there in 2020, so all year groups from Kindergarten to Year 13 are now on one site.
Chatsworth offers three IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme from Kindergarten to Year 6, the Middle Years Programme for Years 7–11, and the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12–13. It has been an IB World School since 2004, is a member of EARCOS, holds EduTrust certification and reports WASC accreditation. A mother-tongue programme supports around 15 languages, and EAL and learning support are available for a fee.
The hillside campus has classrooms, science, art, design and music rooms, a black-box drama studio, a library, a makerspace, a main hall, a sports hall, a swimming pool, a football pitch and a basketball court. Students come from about 55 nationalities, and class sizes are capped at around 24. A shuttle bus links the school with Sixth Avenue MRT, and IB Diploma scholarships are offered. For 2026–27, tuition runs from about S$30,600 in Kindergarten to about S$41,500 in Years 12–13, plus an annual development fee of about S$2,800.
