Mont'Kiara International School (M'KIS) opened on 20 August 1994 on Jalan Kiara in Mont'Kiara, one of Kuala Lumpur's main expatriate neighbourhoods. It became an IB World School in 2000 and graduated its first class in 2001. In August 2026 M'KIS joined Nord Anglia Education, becoming the group's second school in the Kuala Lumpur area after BSKL.
M'KIS teaches the full International Baccalaureate continuum – the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma – and students also earn the M'KIS (US-style) High School Diploma. The school is organised into Early Childhood (Pre-K3 and Pre-K4), Elementary (Kindergarten to Grade 5), Middle School (Grades 6 to 8) and High School (Grades 9 to 12). It is accredited by WASC and licensed by Malaysia's Ministry of Education. Teaching is in English, with EAL support and French, Mandarin and Spanish as world languages. The school reports a 2026 IB average of 35.1 with a 100% pass rate.
More than 700 students from over 45 nationalities attend, with class sizes capped at 16 in Pre-K, 18 in Kindergarten and 21 in Grades 1 to 5. The campus has a 25-metre pool and early-childhood pool, around 59,000 sq ft of natural-grass playing fields, two climbing walls, seven science laboratories and a Product Design Lab.
