International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL)

The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) was founded in 1965 and is a non-profit school, reinvesting its tuition income in teaching and facilities. Its campus is at Lorong Kelab Polo Di Raja in Ampang Hilir, close to KL's embassy district, and it takes students from Early Years through Elementary, Middle and High School to Grade 12. The school has about 1,700 students from more than 60 nationalities.

ISKL's programme follows a US-style school structure, and in High School students can choose their route. All graduates who meet the school's requirements receive the ISKL High School Diploma, which is equivalent to a US high school diploma; alongside it, students can take the full International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which ISKL has been authorised to offer since 1989, or Advanced Placement (AP) courses for college-level study in specific subjects. The school also says a new Global Impact Diploma will be available from 2027-28.

ISKL is accredited by WASC and CIS. Published 2026-27 annual tuition runs from RM 70,200 in Prep Reception to RM 143,400 in Grades 9 to 12, including the enrolment deposit and before 6% SST; external exam fees such as IB and AP are charged separately.
