Garden International School Kuala Lumpur

Garden International School (GIS) opened in 1951 in Kuala Lumpur's Lake Gardens with 33 pupils and two British teachers. It moved to Jalan Bukit Bintang in 1955, added secondary classes in 1965, moved to a purpose-built campus in Cheras in 1982 and settled in Mont Kiara in 1996, where its main campus remains on Jalan Kiara 3. A separate Early Years Centre is in nearby Desa Sri Hartamas. The school is part of Taylor's Schools and has students of more than 65 nationalities.

GIS follows the English National Curriculum through the Early Years Foundation Stage (ages 3 to 5), Primary (5 to 11) and Secondary (11 to 18). IGCSEs were introduced in 1998, and the Sixth Form, offering A Levels, opened in 2000. The school works with the Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel and AQA exam boards, and its official site lists CIS and WASC accreditation. An English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is available in Years 7 to 9.

Published 2026/27 annual tuition runs from RM 52,440 in Nursery to RM 126,870 in Years 10 to 13, excluding the 6% service tax that applies to annual fees above RM 60,000; check the school's fee page for one-off charges.
