REAL International School Johor Bahru (REAL Schools)

REAL International School Johor Bahru is the international stream of the REAL Schools Johor Bahru campus in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, Masai, on the eastern side of the city. REAL Schools is part of XCL Education Malaysia, and the same purpose-built campus also houses a Malaysian private national school, so families can choose between an English-medium Cambridge pathway and the national curriculum on one site.

The international school follows the Cambridge curriculum from primary through to Cambridge IGCSE. Children can start in Early Years (ages 3 to 6), move through Years 1 to 6 and Years 7 to 9, and sit IGCSEs at the end of Years 10 and 11, with subjects including the sciences, Additional Mathematics, ICT, Business Studies, Accounting, Economics and Art and Design. Malay and Mandarin are taught (including a UEC-level Mandarin option), English as an Additional Language support is available, and the school runs its own MYLeader leadership programme alongside a broad co-curricular list from archery and swimming to culinary, photography and podcasting clubs. The international school year runs in three terms from August to June. Students who want to continue to A Levels or the IB Diploma will need to move on to a sixth-form provider after Year 11.

Facilities shown by the school include a football field and running track, a swimming pool, science, STEM, ICT and electronics labs, art, music, textiles and culinary rooms, a library and dedicated early-years classrooms and play areas. Published 2026/27 international tuition is RM 13,760 a year in Early Years and RM 22,540 (Year 1) to RM 30,210 (Year 11), with separate application, registration and deposit charges and higher one-off fees for international students; check the school's current fee schedule before applying.
