Crescendo-HELP International School (CHIS) is a partnership between Crescendo Corporation and the HELP Education Group, and opened its purpose-built campus in Taman Desa Cemerlang, Ulu Tiram, in February 2017. It is one of Johor Bahru's larger international schools, with more than 1,350 students from over 33 nationalities.
The school offers a British-style pathway from Year 1 to Year 13. Primary pupils follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) – CHIS says it is the only IPC-accredited school in JB – before moving on to Cambridge Lower Secondary and Cambridge IGCSE in Years 7 to 11 and Cambridge International AS and A Levels in the Sixth Form. Teaching is in English, with Mandarin and Malay taught and English as an Additional Language support available.
CHIS is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), which it says makes it the first school in Johor Bahru to achieve CIS accreditation, and it is a member of FOBISIA. Facilities include a competition pool and training pool, tennis courts, a running track, a sports hall and gym, two auditoriums and a dance studio. Contact the admissions team for current fees and open days.
