Sanur Independent School, often just called Sanur School, has served families in Sanur since 1997 under the motto 'Learning for Living'. It occupies two neighbouring sites on Jalan Tukad Nyali: an Early Years Centre and a primary school, both built or renovated in 2017–2018. With room for around 200 children, it is a small, community-feel school.
Children can start in playgroup at two and move through kindergarten to Grade 1. From there the school teaches Cambridge Primary and Cambridge Lower Secondary up to Grade 9, with Cambridge Checkpoint tests, alongside the Indonesian national subjects. Pupils can also sit the Indonesian national exams, so they can move on to Indonesian or overseas schools. The curriculum includes Global Perspectives, Design & Technology, ICT and hands-on subjects such as horticulture and home economics. There is no IGCSE stage.
The school can sponsor student KITAS visas for international families and runs a short-term study programme for visiting families. It does not have special-needs provision. Published 2026–27 tuition is IDR 78 million a year for Grades 1–9, plus registration and capital levies.
