The Lycée Français de Bali (LFB), known until 2016 as the École Internationale Française de Bali, was started by a group of parents in the 1990s and is run as a non-profit Indonesian foundation. It is officially recognised by the French Ministry of Education and works in partnership with the AEFE, the agency for French schools abroad. The campus is in Umalas, between Seminyak and Canggu, and recently added a new maternelle building.
Pupils follow the French national curriculum from Toute Petite Section (age two) through élémentaire and collège to lycée, sitting the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalauréat. Teaching is trilingual in French, English and Indonesian from the start, an International Section runs from 6ème, and non-French speakers get French-language support.
The school has more than 400 pupils from over 25 countries. After-school OPEX clubs cover sport, arts and languages, and pupils compete against other international schools in the Bali Schools Sport Association. Published 2026–27 teaching fees run from about IDR 59 million a year for the youngest children to IDR 157 million in lycée, plus annual registration.
