International Community School (ICS) began in 1993 on Soi Prong Jai in Sathorn with 120 students. It grew out of a cooperative of expatriate families who had taught their children from a Christian perspective since 1981. In 2004 it moved to a purpose-built 16-rai campus on The Parkland Road in Bang Na. The school is owned by the ICS Educational Foundation, a not-for-profit foundation, and today has more than 1,200 students from over 30 countries. ICS also runs a sister school in Udon Thani, which opened in 2020.
ICS teaches an American-based, college-preparatory curriculum from four-year-old kindergarten through Grade 12. Bible-based teaching runs through school life. The high school offers honours classes and 24 Advanced Placement courses, as well as Spanish, French, Mandarin and Thai. Students complete community service hours and a senior capstone project, and all secondary students go on annual service trips around Thailand. The school has been accredited by WASC and the Association of Christian Schools International since 1998. ESL, special education and counselling support are available.
Facilities include a performing arts centre, an athletics and recreation centre, swimming pools, two football fields and a futsal pitch, a weight room, robotics and Mac labs, art, pottery and music rooms, and a bouldering wall. Tuition for 2027/28 is THB 556,900 a year for K4 to Grade 5, THB 600,800 for Grades 6 to 8 and THB 659,600 for Grades 9 to 12. New students pay a one-off THB 225,000 registration fee and an annual THB 30,000 capital fee. Sibling discounts and need-based tuition assistance are available.
