Beaconhouse Yamsaard International School (BYIS) is the international arm of the Beaconhouse Yamsaard group. The group formed in 2014 when the Thai Yamsaard schools, founded in 1984, merged with the Beaconhouse School System, a large international network. BYIS was set up as the group's international school on Pattanakarn Soi 78 in Prawet. The group's Ladprao, Rangsit and Hua Hin schools are Thai bilingual schools.
BYIS is a small school for children from Nursery (age 2) to Year 7. The early years follow the Early Years Foundation Stage through play-based learning. From Year 1, the programme is aligned with the English National Curriculum and built around themed Imaginative Learning Projects, and students sit Cambridge standardised tests. All teaching is in English except Thai and Mandarin lessons. Classes have up to 20 pupils, and each has a homeroom teacher, with a co-teacher in the younger years. Subjects include Global Perspectives, robotics and swimming.
Facilities include outdoor play areas with natural play equipment, a climbing wall, a library and an indoor gym for young children. Total annual fees for 2026/27, including books, Chinese, trips and meals, are about THB 247,000 to 258,000 in the early years and THB 270,000 to 277,000 in Years 1 to 6. Year 7 costs THB 297,948. A THB 50,000 registration fee is charged on entry.
