Bangkok Patana School was founded in 1957 by Rosamund Stuetzel to give expatriate families a British-style education in Bangkok, making it Thailand's oldest British international school. It is a not-for-profit school run under the Bangkok Patana School Foundation, and since moving to its present 48-acre site on Lasalle Road (Sukhumvit 105) in Bang Na it has taught children from Nursery (age 2) to Year 13.
Pupils follow a modified English National Curriculum up to Year 11 and sit (I)GCSEs in Years 10 and 11. In Years 12 and 13 most students take the IB Diploma, with IB Courses and the IB Career-related Programme as alternatives. The school is a CIS-accredited IB World School.
With over 2,200 students from around 60 countries, Patana is one of the largest international schools in Thailand. The campus includes 50m, 25m and learn-to-swim pools, a sports hall with a climbing wall, separate arts and science centres and large playing fields, and the school runs its own door-to-door bus service. For 2026/27, annual tuition is about THB 842,000 in Years 7–9, plus a one-off entrance fee of THB 250,000.
