Global Indian International School (GIIS) Bangkok is the Thai campus of the GIIS network, which started in Singapore in 2002 and is run by the not-for-profit Global Schools Foundation. The Bangkok school was set up in 2007. It is in Mueang Pathum Thani, just north of Bangkok, on a riverside site near Wat Chinwararam off the Pathum Thani–Sam Khok road. It takes children from about 18 months, in nursery and kindergarten, through the primary and secondary years.
It is the only school in Thailand that teaches India's Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, and it holds CBSE affiliation for the secondary level. The early years use the group's Global Montessori Plus programme. Teaching across the school follows GIIS's 'Nine Gems' framework, which gives weight to sport, the arts, leadership and values alongside academics. English is the language of instruction, with Hindi, French and Mandarin also offered. The school is small, with roughly 200 students. Many are Indian expatriates, but a large share come from other nationalities, including Thai families.
Facilities include a swimming pool, a covered basketball court and indoor sports area, a football field, a library, a computer lab and a multimedia room. Fees are among the lowest of any international school in the Bangkok area. Published annual tuition is about THB 94,500 for nursery and child care, THB 157,500 for kindergarten, THB 175,140 for primary and THB 204,750 for secondary.
