British Columbia International School Bangkok (BCISB) opened in 2007 and is a licensed British Columbia offshore school, part of the network of schools abroad that teach the Canadian province's curriculum under inspection by the BC Ministry of Education. Its single campus is on Kanlapaphruek Road in Bang Wa, Phasi Charoen, on the Thonburi side of the river. The school takes children from kindergarten (K1 to K3, from about age 3) through Grade 12, and a Pre-K class for younger children starts in August 2026.
Students in Grades 10 to 12 follow the BC Graduation Program and leave with the BC Certificate of Graduation (Dogwood Diploma), which is recognised by universities in Canada and elsewhere. The school was authorized as an IB Primary Years Programme school in 2026 and runs the PYP in kindergarten and elementary. It is a candidate for the IB Middle Years Programme in Grades 6 to 9. BCISB also holds WASC accreditation. Teaching is project- and inquiry-based, and the school community is a mix of Thai and expatriate families, with a total enrolment of roughly 300.
The main building opened in 2009. Facilities include a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a hall, a separate kindergarten building with its own playground, a music building, an iMac lab, two science labs and an elementary playground. Tuition is in the mid-range for Bangkok. Published 2022–23 annual fees ran from THB 365,000 in kindergarten to THB 460,000 for Grades 7 to 9 and THB 520,000 for Grades 10 to 12, plus a one-time enrolment fee of THB 50,000. Current fees are higher, at roughly THB 376,000 to 546,000 a year, and should be confirmed with the admissions office.
