The Lycée Français International de Bangkok (LFIB) was founded in 1957 and is one of the oldest international schools in Thailand. It is a non-profit school under agreement with the AEFE, the French agency for education abroad, and all fifteen grades from Petite Section to Terminale are homologated by the French Ministry of Education. The campus is on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 39 (Thep Leela 1) in Wang Thonglang district, in north-east Bangkok.
About 1,050 students attend, from more than 40 nationalities. The school is organised into maternelle (ages 3–6), élémentaire (6–11), collège and lycée, and teaches the French national curriculum leading to the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalauréat. French is the main language of instruction. English and Thai start in preschool, and German, Spanish, Mandarin, Latin and Ancient Greek are offered from collège. A British international section starts in primary and leads to the international option of the Brevet and Bac. A European section runs at lycée level.
Facilities include science laboratories, a library and research centre, a gymnasium and sports centre, a swimming pool, a football field, a running track and art and music rooms. Fees depend on nationality. For 2025–26, collège tuition was THB 354,000 a year for French, Thai and EU nationals and THB 445,700 for other nationalities. Lycée tuition rises to THB 418,000 (or THB 507,400) in Terminale. New families pay a THB 150,000 registration fee.
