Thai-Japanese Association School (Bangkok Japanese School)

The Thai-Japanese Association School, known in Japanese as Bangkok Nihonjin Gakko, is run under the sponsorship of the Thai-Japanese Association. It has been licensed in Thailand since 1974. The campus is on Soi 17 off Rama 9 Road in Huai Khwang district and is among the largest school campuses in Bangkok. A sister school, the Thai-Japanese Association School Sriracha, opened in 2009 in Chonburi province.

This is a Japanese overseas school, not a general international school. It teaches the Japanese national curriculum in Japanese across six primary grades and three junior-high grades, roughly ages 6 to 15, and has no senior high school section. Enrolment is for children of Japanese nationals living in Thailand. The school year runs from April to March in three terms. Thai language and culture are part of the programme.

It is one of the largest Japanese schools outside Japan. In April 2026 it had about 1,960 students (around 1,530 primary and 430 junior high), down from a peak in the mid-2010s. Annual tuition is about THB 146,000, plus a one-time enrolment fee of about THB 160,000. Many students travel by school bus from the Sukhumvit area.
