Shrewsbury International School Bangkok opened its Riverside campus in 2003 and is part of the wider family of Shrewsbury School in England, founded in 1552. The 40-rai campus sits on Charoen Krung Road in Bang Kho Laem, on the east bank of the Chao Phraya, and takes children from Early Years (age 3) through to Year 13.
The school follows the English National Curriculum, with pupils sitting (I)GCSEs set by Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel in Year 11 and A-Levels in the Sixth Form; it does not offer the IB. Shrewsbury is accredited by the Council of International Schools and Thailand's ONESQA, and offers Sixth Form, music and performance scholarships that can carry fee remission.
Riverside has about 2,000 pupils. A separate primary-only City Campus off Rama 9 Road in Huai Khwang, opened in 2018, teaches ages 2 to 11, and its Year 6 pupils move on to Riverside for Year 7. For 2026/27, Riverside tuition is about THB 977,000 a year in Years 7–9, rising to around THB 1.25 million in Years 10 and 12.
