Modern International School Bangkok

Modern International School Bangkok (MISB) opened on 24 August 1997. It was founded by Bangkok's Namdhari community, and its values draw on that tradition of service. The school is on Soi Phrom Mit off Sukhumvit 39, a short walk from Phrom Phong BTS, and the campus is green and low-rise. Vegetarianism is part of school policy.

MISB follows the Cambridge pathway from Early Years through Primary and Lower Secondary. Students take Cambridge IGCSE in Years 10 and 11 and AS and A Levels in Years 12 and 13. Sixth Form subjects include the sciences, mathematics, computer science, economics, accounting, business, psychology, sociology and art. Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi and Punjabi are introduced in the early years. Students also do military training, community service, annual camps, music and inter-school sport through ISAA.

MISB is a small school of a few hundred students from many nationalities, with a large South Asian community. Annual tuition is roughly THB 234,000 in the early years, THB 305,000 to 340,000 in primary, THB 285,000 to 296,000 in Years 7 to 11 and about THB 307,000 at A Level. Admission and development fees are charged on top.
