The International French School (Singapore), known until 2020 as the Lycée Français de Singapour, began in 1967 as a small school of 15 pupils set up by French parents. It has grown into a large multilingual school of more than 70 nationalities on an extended campus at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, where it has been based since 1999.
IFS is a certified member of the AEFE network of French schools abroad and follows the French national curriculum from kindergarten to the French Baccalauréat, with students taking the Diplôme National du Brevet at the end of Grade 9. Alongside the classic French sections there are international, English-plus and Mandarin options, a French Passerelle programme for newcomers, and an English International Stream for children aged 3 to 6. Students can also sit Cambridge IGCSEs and IELTS, which helps those heading to English-speaking universities.
The campus has around 160 classrooms, four libraries, four performance halls, two 25-metre pools, rugby and football pitches, a running track and climbing walls. It is a day school. Fees are set annually by the school's general assembly; for 2026–27 published tuition runs from about S$24,000 a year in kindergarten to about S$35,000 in high school, plus one-time registration fees. Visitors use the reception at 2900 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 (Gate 5).
