French School Jakarta (FSJ), the Lycée Français de Jakarta, is the city's French international school and the successor to the former Lycée Français Louis-Charles Damais. It is part of the AEFE network of French schools abroad as a conventionné school, and all 15 class levels, from Petite Section of maternelle to Terminale, are homologated by the French Ministry of Education. Its board includes the French Consul, and the school's security arrangements are supervised by the French Embassy.
Pupils follow the French national curriculum, sitting the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalauréat; the school reports a 100% Baccalauréat pass rate in 2025. Teaching is bilingual in French and English, with an American International Section, a reinforced-English international section and French-as-a-foreign-language support for children joining without French. English, Indonesian and Spanish are also taught, and FSJ is Jakarta's only accredited DELE Spanish examination centre, run with the Instituto Cervantes.
Around 500 students aged 2 to 17 attend, from about 50 nationalities, and over 40% are not French. The Cipete campus has 50 classrooms equipped with projectors or interactive boards, two libraries, a 25-metre outdoor pool, two air-conditioned gyms and a multi-sports field.
