ACS Jakarta (formally Sekolah Tiara Bangsa ACS (International) Jakarta) began in July 1996 as Sekolah Tiara Bangsa in Cibubur. It partnered with Anglo-Chinese School in Singapore in 2002, becoming the first overseas campus of the ACS family founded in 1886, and moved to its purpose-built campus in Setu, East Jakarta, under the ACS Jakarta name in July 2006. It is a Methodist school with a full-time chaplain.
The academic pathway follows Cambridge International from primary, with the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint in Grade 6 and Cambridge IGCSE in Grades 9 and 10, then the IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11 and 12. ACS Jakarta is an IB World School and an authorised Cambridge centre. Teaching is in English, Mandarin is taught throughout the school, and Bahasa Indonesia is taught as required for Indonesian students. Entry to Grades 1 to 12 involves English and Mathematics admission tests, and average class sizes are around 20.
The main East Campus sits beside the Cilangkap toll gate on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road. Facilities include a performing arts theatre, two dance rooms, six music rooms, five tennis courts, football fields, swimming pools and a sports hall with six badminton courts. A second, West Campus has opened in BSD City, Tangerang. There is no school bus service. Contact the school for current fees and admissions dates.
